What is Scottish Country Dancing?
Scottish Country Dancing is a traditional form of social dance from Scotland, performed in sets of couples arranged in lines or squares. It features lively steps and graceful movements, with dancers following specific patterns and formations to the rhythm of Scottish folk music, often led by fiddles or bagpipes. It is both a cultural tradition and a fun, interactive way to enjoy music, movement, and community.
